A professional dog walker has been hailed a hero after saving a pet dog who collapsed while in her care.

Karen Hodge was walking Travis in woods near Mansfield, when the Boxer dog began to have a fit, and stopped breathing.

Luckily Karen had recently attended a Pet First Aid course, and managed to resuscitate Travis using a combination of heart compressions and mouth-to-snout breaths.

Travis soon made a full recovery.
