Black Sabbath 'heavy metal' bench unveiled

• Hundreds of Black Sabbath fans turned out over the weekend to see a 'heavy metal' bench unveiled.

The steel bench features images of the band’s original four members.

It will be placed on the renamed Black Sabbath Bridge across the canal on Birmingham’s Broad Street.

The bench features the words,

Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward was awarded with his own star for the city’s Walk of Stars at the weekend event.
