Police arrest man on suspicion of murder after woman's body found in Bilston house

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found at her home.

The 68-year-old's body was found at an address in James Street, Bilston, Wolverhampton, by officers who were alerted to a serious incident on Friday just before 6pm.

West Midlands Police said the man, who was known to the pensioner, is being questioned on suspicion of murder.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police cordon is in place in James Street and another scene is being held by police in Dilloways Lane.
