Five suspected car thieves arrested after two police pursuits
Five suspected car thieves, including four school-age boys − have been arrested after two police pursuits last night. Police also recovered stolen cars.
Officers stopped an Audi A4 in Brierley Hill Road in Stourbridge following a chase through Dudley.
The driver rammed a police patrol vehicle after officers had cornered it in a pub car park.
Two teenagers and a 22-year-old man were all arrested. Drugs were seized and a large machete was also found.
Police say the Audi, which was running on cloned plates, is understood to have been stolen during a burglary in Quinton on 14 November.
Police also arrested two 16-year-olds from Perry Barr after a car was spotted driving erratically in Newtown in Birmingham.
Police believe the Volkswagen Polo had been stolen during a carjacking at Alexander Stadium in Walsall Road, on Monday 21st January.
