Burglar drops cigarette outside house before stealing jewellery

This is the moment a clumsy burglar dropped a cigarette outside a house a was about to break into.

The suspect stole £10,000 worth of jewellery after ripping a safe off a wall. He was then caught on CCTV walking out of the house and down a main road, all while clutching the safe.

But despite possible traces of DNA on the cigarette, police still haven't caught the suspect.

It happened on The Firs Close in Kidderminster on January 17th. West Mercia Police is appealing for information.
