Stolen penguins returned to the zoo

Nottinghamshire Police officers have recovered a pair of penguins after they were reported stolen from a zoo.

The two Humboldt penguins had been taken in November, and officers had a tip-off that they were residing in Strelley Village.

The birds were found safe and well on Wednesday afternoon, and were returned to the zoo.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft. He has now been released under investigation.
