Survivors, families of the victims and representatives of the emergency services have gathered at St Andrew's Church in Kegworth for a special service to mark the 30th anniversary of the Kegworth air disaster.

A Belfast-bound British Midland Boeing 737 crashed on an embankment of the M1 in Leicestershire after suffering engine trouble on January 8th, 1989.

The crash in is among the deadliest peacetime incidents in modern British history.

Reverend Lauretta Wilson addressed the congregation of three hundred people at St Andrew’s Church in Kegworth at the service.
