CCTV footage captures the moment a lit firework was shot at dog walkers and their pets

Two dog walkers had to dive for cover, after a thug fired a lit firework down a residential street.

Homeowner Nichola Priest’s CCTV footage captured the attack, which took place around 8.30pm on New Year’s Eve.

In the video, which has been viewed thousands of times, a pair of dog walkers leave their home in Boundary Hill, Gornal.

But their walk is cut short as they are ambushed by the firework.

The attacker is thought to have fled the scene. No-one was hurt, according to an eyewitness.
