Daily Mile fitness campaign gets funding boost

Hundreds of thousands of children up and down the country benefit from the Daily Mile.

It's a campaign, backed by ITV, where pupils walk, jog or run outside for 15 minutes a day.

The founder of the scheme wants every primary school in the country to sign up.

This week £1.5 million pounds of extra funding from the National Lottery and Sport England was announced to help achieve that dream.

Our cameras have been to Ladypool Primary School in Birmingham, which says it has seen behaviour improve since starting the Daily Mile.
