One of Britain's oldest mountain bikers who beat cancer has told ITV News Central he wants to inspire others to get on their bike.

Alf Peters from Wolverhampton is 82 years old and rides the mountain bike courses at Cannock Chase at least three times a week.

He took up cycling at the age of 70 and he began to ride alongside the canals with his son to get fit. After a recommendation he tried the mountain bike course he never looked back.

The Cycle Republic team met Alf two years ago. They told ITV Central that they were inspired by his story and how fast he was on the tracks when they struggled to keep up.
