Tiara theft suspects released on conditional bail

Four people arrested in connection with he theft of a tiara and a diamond brooch from an art gallery in Worksop have been released on conditional bail until 5 January 2019.

The three men, aged 46, 38 and 33 and woman, aged 30, were arrested on suspicion of burglary Friday (7 December 2018).

The arrests followed the theft of the Portland Tiara and a diamond brooch from The Portland Collection Gallery on The Welbeck Estate in Worksop between on Tuesday 20 November 2018.

The stolen property hasn’t been recovered and police are still appealing for information.

They believe a silver Audi RS5 Quattro, registration number KY61 USJ, was involved in the burglary.

It was stolen from the Phoenix Park Park and Ride tram stop, Nottingham, on Friday 2 November 2018.

It was found abandoned and burnt out in Cross Lane, Blidworth, about half-an-hour after the burglary on Tuesday 20 November 2018.
