A grieving mother has payed tribute to her “lovely, thoughtful” son who was murdered in Coventry.
Gemma James has been speaking publicly for the first time since her 16-year-old son Jaydon was stabbed on Deedmore Road, Wood End on 24 November.
In a tribute issued by West Midlands Police, Gemma James said:
A 16-year-old man from Oxford had been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing.
The teen has since been bailed on suspicion of murder but charged with an unconnected robbery on 19 October.
Gemma James also appealed for the public to help the police investigation.
Jaydon was with friends when he was stabbed and died in hospital soon after being admitted.
His two friends, who were also injured, have since been released from hospital.
