Annual festival celebrates diversity in music from across the globe
A Polish choir, a Romanian singer, Islamic scholars in Sufi music, Chinese dancers and Indian drum players were among the many participants at the World Music Conference 2018. (WMC 2018).
The two-day conference, which is now in its second year, aims to celebrate the vast diversity in music from across the globe.
It is organised by the British Carnatic Choir and hosted by the University of Wolverhampton.
The conference particularly focuses on young people in a bid to inspire and encourage them to consider a career in music.
It is believed to be the only event of its kind to be hosted in the UK.
