Residents of an area in Birmingham have reacted on social media to an image of double yellow lines, which are "less than a metre long".

Elaine Debenham posted the photo of the markings painted on Vicarage Road in Kings Heath in a local Facebook group, asking the council: "Is this really worth it?"

Some users commented that the lines were needed to stop people parking unnecessarily, near to a zebra crossing.

Other users made light of the image, with one commenting "I used to park my unicyle there".
