Firefighters tackle huge blaze at Nottingham's cattle market
Flames engulfed the Nottingham cattle market area off Meadow Lane late on Sunday evening.
Firefighters used 15 engines and and three aerial platforms to tackle the blaze, and they warned there had been a number of explosions.
They used water from the River Trent to fight the fire.
At least four businesses were affected by the flames, according to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue.
Notts County's ground, the world's oldest professional club, in Meadow Lane has not been hit by the fire.
The fire was brought under control at around 11pm but crews remain at the scene today (Monday).
An joint investigation by the fire service and the police is being carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
