McDonald's have taken down Halloween decorations at one of their restaurants in Nottingham and apologised if any offence was caused.

The poster in their Netherfield restaurant showed a zombie wielding a knife which was dripping with blood.

They said,

Nottingham has seen a series of violent incidents in the last few days.

  • An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in North Sherwood Street. A 21-year-old man suffered life-threatening stab wounds to his leg. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

  • Detectives have been granted further time to question three men arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident at the Forest Park and Ride in Forest Fields.

  • Four people have now been arrested in connection with an assault involving three men and a woman in Burns Street, the Arboretum. A man and a woman were taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with minor injuries but have since been discharged following the incident at 7.30pm yesterday.
