Rescue Staffie gets new job as drug detection dog

Police Dog Cooper is making history after becoming the first Staffordshire Bull Terrier to be taken on by Staffordshire Police.

Before joining the force, Cooper was an unwanted dog, who came from a rescue centre after he was abandoned.

He is now is a detection dog, trained to sniff out drugs, cash and firearms. Since joining, he's found up to £257,000 worth of drugs.
