Tour of Britain comes to Nottinghamshire
The seventh stage of this years Tour of Britain will take place in Nottinghamshire today.
The stage will start in West Bridgford at around 10:30 and will finish in Mansfield.
It is the longest stage at this year's Tour of Britain at 215.6 kilometres long from start to finish.
The estimated schedule for each place:
10:30 - West Bridgford
10:45 - Ruddington
11:18 - Keyworth
11:40 - Radcliffe-on-Trent
12:01 - Woodborough
12:31 - Southwell
13:12 - Tuxford
13:29 - Retford
13:50 - Worksop
14:24 - Billsthorpe
15:31 - Kirby in Ashfield
15:40 - Mansfield
Road closures
Rolling road closures will take place 20 minutes before and after riders go through each road.
All of Central Avenue in West Bridgford will be closed from 4am to 3pm. Bridgford Road between Stratford Road to Rectory Road will be closed from 4am to 3pm.
In Mansfield the A6191 Chesterfield Road South from Abbott Road to Rosemary Street will be closed from 5am to 5pm.
The A6191 Chesterfield Road South from Rosemary Street to Crow Hill Drive road will be closed from 2pm to 5pm.
A6009 Rosemary Street between Chesterfield Road South to Civic Centre Access Road will be closed from 2pm to 5pm.
In West Bridgford, the Bridgford Road car park will be closed.
Instead, car parking will be available from 8am at nearby Bridge Field on Loughborough Road and at Nottingham Rugby Club.
Nottinghamshire Police have advised drivers to leave plenty of time for journies to and from your spectating spot and where possible park well away from the route and walk or cycle to avoid the rush.
