The words 'Don't feed the scum' have been left on a banner for a food bank at a church in Mansfield.
The message was left at Bridge North Methodist Church, alongside a note claiming, among other things, that the food bank was attracting drug users to the town.

The soup kitchen was set up five years ago by local volunteers in Mansfield.
As well as homeless people, the food bank and soup kitchen also supports those who simply cannot afford to buy groceries.

The council have asked the person who left the message to get in touch and discuss their views in person.
