Healthy Holidays: Top tips on motivation from an endurance champion

It can be hard to find determination to keep going once the novelty of starting exercise wears off.

As part of our Healthy Holidays series, we spoke to endurance champion Paddy Doyle to get his top tips.

The Coventry-born record-breaking athlete has three key pieces of advice:

  • Goal setting - Set yourself different challenges. This will keep you going and improve you as an individual

  • Variation - Try different sporting categories, for example, do some running, some swimming. This will help build stamina and keep the enthusiasm

  • Preparation - Get the right kit and equipment so you can get out there and push yourself
