A toad who took a tumble into a drain in Lincoln had a lucky escape
A toad who took a tumble into a drain in Lincoln had a lucky escape thanks to an RSPCA inspector.
It had fallen into a drain on Moor Lane, Branston and was spotted by a passersby in the evening.
They glanced down the drain and saw the toad struggling in the water. They called RSPCA for help straight away.
Chief Inspector Becky Lowe helped the animal to escape and said she was very grateful to the people who called for help:
The common frog and the common toad are found throughout Britain. The RSPCA says the natterjack toad is now rare and is fully protected by law.
