Police searching for a man after 5-foot teddy bear was stolen

Officers have released an image of a man they want to trace following the theft of a display teddy bear from outside a business in Stafford town centre.

The theft took place on Saturday 7 July at around 5pm, when four men approached the Bakehouse Café in Market Street and grabbed the teddy.

The men, believed to be in their early 20's then made off across Market Square towards Greengate Street and were later captured on CCTV heading up the alley way at the side of McDonalds.

The teddy bear, named Barnaby, is white and around 5ft tall. The owners want to be reunited with Barnaby as he holds a great deal of sentimental value.

Town centre CCTV has captured a man carrying the teddy bear and Police are appealing for anyone who knows the man.
