Brave dad stops flytippers dumping mattress on his road
A brave dad has been praised by the council after confronting two flytippers.
Craig Hardwick started filming the pair, who were about to dump a mattress on a road in Walsall, West Midlands.
Mr Hardwick told the two men he would show the video to the police if they did not remove the mattress.
The men then moved the mattress away from the tree where Mr Hardwick spotted them, but the 37-year-old admitted he wasn't sure where the mattress ended up.
Mr Hardwick said fly tipping was one of his 'pet hates'.
His community spirit has since been praised by Walsall Council. In an email, Steve Gittins said: "Thank you for being community spirited enough to challenge such inappropriate behaviour."
