'Serious concerns' for safety of missing man with dementia

Police have "serious concerns" about the safety of a 70-year-old man from Derbyshire with dementia, who has been missing for a week.

Anthony Ward, from Morton, near Alfreton, last seen in Main Street on Thursday 2 August.

Mr Ward, who goes by the name Tony, was recently diagnosed with early onset dementia.

Officers say he is a keen walker has has links to the Belper area, where he previously lived.

He is described as

  • 5ft 7ins tall

  • Slim build

  • Greying hair

He was last seen wearing a dark jumper and dark coloured trousers.
