Free school uniforms to help parents with the cost of 'back to school'

Uniforms on a washing line ready for collection

A church is helping parents with the cost of returning to school by organising a free uniform bank, similar to the food banks which have now become widespread.

The uniforms are good quality and have been collected from unclaimed lost property at schools in Staffordshire, and through donations from parents.

Volunteers at Create Church, in Huntington near Cannock, have sorted and prepared the clothes for distribution.

Jumpers and cardigans are available with local school logos as well as plain tops, trousers, skirts and dresses which can be worn at any school.

Organiser Rachael Shalloe-Coooper, of Create Church says,

The clothes are available for collection from Create Community Hub in Cannock on Wednesdays throughout August for free or for a donation.
