Armed police in stand-off over 'exposed electrical wires' in house
Armed police have been called to an address in Leicester after a man refused to let staff from Western Power and the city council into the address.
The staff went to the property on Sonning Way in Eyres Monsell to make it safe after reports that electricity wires were exposed inside. Officers from Leicestershire Police were called shortly after 11am, with armed police arriving later.
Around 60 homes around Sonning Way have had their electricity turned off and crisis centre has been set up at Eyres Monsell Community Centre in Hilsborough Road.
