People forced out of bed at 5:00 in morning as burst water main floods street

A water main burst shortly after 5:00 this morning in the West Midlands, flooding houses, gardens, and a major dual carriageway causing traffic disruption.

The A4123 Birmingham New Road in Sandwell, is currently closed between Regent Road and Burnt Tree in both directions.

South Staffs Water are working to repair the burst water main but some properties don't have water.
