Man arrested on suspicion of murder after pensioner stabbed to death
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a pensioner was stabbed to death in Birmingham.
Emergency services were called to Aubrey Road in Small Heath just after 11am yesterday (12th July), and found 86-year-old Riasat Bi with stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at scene. An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition.
A 20-year-old man was arrested in Stoke-on-Trent in the early hours of this morning and is currently in hospital receiving medical treatment. Police say he will be questioned once discharged.
The address in Aubrey Street remains cordoned off while forensic experts examine the scene.
