16-year-old girl parachute jumps on 10th anniversary of soldier dad's death in Afghanistan
A 16-year-old completed her first parachute jump today in memory of her dad.
Jordan Shirley from Syston in Leicestershire was just six years old when her dad Daniel was killed while fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Today is the 10th anniversary of his death, and his daughter wanted to mark it in style.
A member of the parachute regiment himself for 12 years, he told his daughter that parachuting was "the best experience ever."
The money raised will go to the charity, Scotty's Little Soldiers, which supports military families with gifts at Christmas, birthdays and on occasions like anniversaries of bereavements.
