Firefighters remain on site of huge scrapyard fire 24 hours on
Firefighters from five fire engines remain at the site of a huge scrapyard fire in Warwickshire, 24 hours after it started.
At its height, 70 crews fought the blaze near the the former Peugeot factory at Ryton-on-Dunsmore near Coventry.
Black smoke could be seen for miles as the fire took hold, just off the A45.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue service says its teams are continuing to section up areas of scrap metal to target seats of fire, and they expect to be on site for most of the day.
The Environment Agency are also still in attendance, testing the River Avon for pollutants.
