Alton Towers warns customers over free ticket scam
Fraudsters have targeted Alton Towers, offering families free tickets, in the latest scam.
The apparent trick spoofs the theme park's website and offers five tickets to 500 families.
Once the link has been clicked on, people have to answer a series of questions before being asked to share the offer via WhatsApp and enter their details.
While entering questions it appears that the tickets are running out and there are also Facebook posts from supposedly happy customers who have received the tickets.
The park have confirmed that they are aware of the scam and are urging customers to be vigilant.
One woman who didn't want to be named, made ITV Central aware of the scam after almost being duped.
