This is how Birmingham celebrates Pride

The annual 21st Birmingham Pride takes place in Birmingham this weekend and to start it off, a colourful parade was held today.

Celebrating the diversity of the LGBT community, the parade took place in the city centre, going all the way to the gay village.

Events, music and a party atmosphere is promised this weekend.

But the organisers told us that the parade still carries an important political message.
