Parents release heartbreaking pictures of boy who was stabbed
The parents of a teenage boy fighting for his life after being stabbed in Redhill, Nottinghamshire have released a heartbreaking picture of their son on a hospital bed.
17-year-old Ross Hedley had been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed on Mansfield Road during the early hours of Friday morning.
His dad Colin has warned teenagers against carrying a knife, telling them to 'wake up':
Nottinghamshire Police has said that Ross had serious injuries but was in stable condition.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent and a possession of a bladed weapon following the stabbing. He is due to appear at Crown Court in June.
