The M1 has fully re-opened in Leicestershire after being closed for a bridge installation.

Both sides of the M1 between Junctions 23A and 24 were closed on Friday night (10th May) to allow for a new bridge, which will form part of the Kegworth Southern Bypass, to be installed.

The southbound carriage opened just before 10 am this morning, which was confirmed on social media by Highways England.

The northbound carriage opened shortly after 11am.
