Teenager stabs rapist during attack in Worcestershire

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was raped in Droitwich in the early hours of Saturday (5 May) morning.

The incident occurred at around 3am in an alleyway between Trent Close and Worcester Road when the woman was approached by an unknown man and attacked.

It is believed the woman grabbed a sharp object and stabbed the man in the side, back or abdomen as she defended herself.

West Mercia Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the attack or saw anyone who was acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch.

They say the man may have sought medical attention or attempted to treat himself at home.
