Fans of warmer weather were treated to record temperatures on Bank Holiday Monday.

The hottest place in the West Midlands was Ross on Wye in Herefordshire with a peak of 27.3 degrees.

While the mercury hit 26.7 degrees in Coton in the Elms, making that the hottest place in the East Midlands.

It has been a scorcher for our pets, and you have been sending in pictures of how your furry friends are keeping cool.
