Birmingham New Street most popular rail station outside London
Birmingham New Street has been voted the most popular railway station outside of London.
92 per cent of passengers said they are 'satisfied' with the city centre terminal.
New Street placed third overall in the country, behind London King's Cross and London St Pancras.
The two stations clocked up an approval rating of 96 and 95 per cent respectively.
Independent watchdog Transport Focus surveyed more than 28,000 passengers at 56 stations between September and November last year.
Glasgow Queen Street was named Britain's most unpopular railway station, with a satisfaction rating of only 58 per cent.
