Runners gearing up for Great Birmingham 10K

Around 8,000 runners are gearing up for the Great Birmingham 10K run.

Some of those taking part gathered in the city to promote the event which takes place on Sunday.

Among them is Solihull Moors footballer Darren Carter, who is raising money for the Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge, and boxer Frankie Gavin, who is running for the Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Last year's 10K raised almost £1.5 million for charity.
