Labour have retained control of Birmingham City Council.

Labour has retained control amid a change in ward boundaries and a reduction in the number of seats from 120 to 101.

There was speculation before polling that the handling of last year's bin strikes by the labour-run council would affect the result but labour effectively maintained their two thirds majority.

The current state of the Council is as follows.
