Suspects in hit-and-run near mosque freed after questioning
Two men arrested after a hit-and-run near a Birmingham mosque have been bailed pending further inquiries.
The suspects, aged 20 and 22, were detained by West Midlands Police on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after two teenagers were hit by a car outside a Birmingham mosque.
A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with head and back injuries after the incident on Friday afternoon.
Medical staff also treated a 17-year-old boy for head and leg injuries after being called to Ettington Road in Aston at about 2.15pm.
Police have ruled out any link to terrorism and have described the hit-and-run, which involved a silver-coloured car, as a targeted attack.
