Carpetright stores across the Midlands facing closure
Carpetright is set to close nine stores across the Midlands as it undergoes a new restructure.
Ninety-two sites had been earmarked for closure across the country, although 11 have already stopped trading.
Around 300 jobs are expected to be lost nationally. The group employs 2,700 staff and also confirmed they need to raise £60 million through a rights issue to put the company on a firmer financial footing.
These are the stores that are set to close in the Midlands:
Birmingham Stetchford
Dudley
Kidderminster
Lichfield
Lincoln
Stafford
Stratford-upon-Avon
Telford
Walsall
