Police are investigating reports of a large group of youths causing a disturbance in Derbyshire last night (Saturday 3 February).

Officers were called to Sandiacre and Long Eaton between 5pm and 6pm by concerned residents. The incident saw a teenaged boy suffer a stab wound.

Police say the 15-year-old boy was in Springfield Park in Sandiacre when he was attacked. He was taken to hospital and was later discharged.

At around 9pm later that evening, police received reports of youths arguing at Hicken Park in Stapleford in Nottinghamshire.

As part of the investigation into the Sandiacre incident, officers joined Nottinghamshire Police and attended the scene where it's said that a group were spoken to. Their details were noted down as part of the investigation but no arrests were made.

Police would now like to hear from any witnesses, or anyone who may have CCTV footage in relation to this incident.
