Ten-year-old boy dies after road accident

A ten-year-old boy from Retford has died after he was involved in a road traffic accident outside a primary school.

Seth Bartle, 10, sustained life-threatening injuries following the crash in Tiln Lane on 15th of January.

He was airlifted to a hospital in Leeds, where he later died on Sunday 21st of January.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family, who've asked for absolute privacy at this time.”

Police are now investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident 520 of January 15.
