Animal rescue centre wants more volunteers ahead of busiest period
A nearly full animal centre is asking for volunteers to help as they prepare for unwanted Christmas present pets to be given to them.
There are currently 700 animals at the Animals in Need rescue centre in Little Irchester, near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.
They are now preparing to enter their busiest time of the year as the annual influx of unwanted Christmas present pets look set to arrive at the centre.
Animals in Need trustee, Sally Smith, said:
The centre is a charity - which runs off donations and one hundred volunteers.
