Police appeal after alleged petrol attack on own station
Police in Staffordshire are appealing for witnesses after an alleged petrol attack on their own station and on police cars.
Officers inside the Rugeley Police Station began to smell petrol in the early hours of Christmas morning. They went outside and saw a person squirting fuel from a washing-up bottle onto the floor to the front of the police station, the pavement surrounding it and also onto a number of marked police cars.
Officers say the offender ran off when they saw the police, and is thought to have gone in the direction of a track than runs near the back of houses on Anson Road.
The offender is described as:
Of slim build
5ft 6 inches to 5ft 8 inches tall
Wearing black skinny jeans, a black shiny plastic jacket and a black and light-coloured patterned covering the lower half of their face
Thought to be in late teens or early 20's
