Boy, 15, charged with attempted murder following stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in Northfield in Birmingham.

Police say the victim was found in Staple Lodge Road with stab injuries to his chest and leg at around 8.30pm on Wednesday 20 December.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded into custody ahead of his appearance at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday (26 December).
