An alleged victim of sex abuse has taken the stand in a trial of child sex abuse dating back to the 70s.

Barry Pick, who's 74 and from Nottingham, went on trial on Friday (November 24th) accused of sexually abusing a boy at a former children's home 40 years ago. He worked as a residential social worker at the Beechwood home in the mid-1970s where offences are said to have take place.

He's charged with five sex offences against a boy under the age of 14. They were allegedly committed against the same boy, who was 12 or 13 at the time.

In day two of the trial today, the jury saw a video of the alleged victim's second interview with police. They also heard how the man went to Nottinghamshire Police two days after seeing a report about Beechwood in May 2014.

The trial continues.
