Police continue stop and searches following shooting
Police have been granted additional stop and search powers for a second night following a shooting, as the force look for more information.
The incident happened on South Holme Court, in the Thorplands area of Northampton, shortly after 18:00 on 17 November.
Two women were injured after shots were reportedly fired at a car they were in, both were taken to hospital with minor injuries as police continue their investigations with another night of stop and searches.
From 16:00 this evening to 02:00 tomorrow morning (20 November), police officers will be able to stop any pedestrian or vehicle in the Thorplands area without any cause for suspicion and conduct a search for offensive weapons.
Officers were granted additional powers under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.
