Are these Britain's worst Christmas trees?
Every year it seems somewhere in the UK, some local residents are unhappy with their regional festive offering, but, so far, the Midlands has remained virtually unaffected.
Increasingly, it has been the case that tight council budgets mean many festive displays have to be funded from alternative sources such as local businesses, fundraising projects and residents.
This week, residents in one British town complained their Christmas Tree 'lacked decorations and branches.'
Some residents of Camborne in Cornwall argued that the tree, provided by the local Business Improvement District, or BID, was not up to scratch, prompting a response from organisers, which appeared to be in agreement:
The BID said they were also disappointed, but determined not to let it ruin Christmas in the town, ahead of the official switch on later today:
Camborne is not the first place to face criticism over its festive offering, previously angry residents in Stockport, Manchester demanded the council take down and replace their tree which they described as the worst in Britain.
So far, however, it seems the Midlands has escaped unscathed in the battle for Britain's Worst Christmas Tree, so how is your local offering looking, and do you think the council should be providing funding for local trees?
