Man arrested over Derby stabbing

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left another man with life threatening injuries.

Police were called to Race Course Park, off Berwick Avenue, Chaddesden around 11pm last night after reports of an assault.

The man was taken to the Queens Medical Centre where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are continuing to investigate the attack. They believe another person was involved.

It is thought that the man’s alleged attackers were known to him.
